AUGUST 10, 2010 – Northern Capital announces the promotion of John Formichella to Vice President of Business Development. John will be focused on the delivery of the firm’s fixed income trading, portfolio analytics and strategies resources to its new and existing clients. JULY 12, 2010 – Northern Capital announces the appointment of Tom McDonough as Managing Director and Chief Business Development Officer. Focused within the Investment Advisory segment at Fidelity for the past 23 years, Tom has developed a deep understanding of the challenges investment advisors face and what makes them successful. Tom’s role as Northern Capital’s CBDO is to set new standards in partnering with clients, to provide them with expert resources, superior service and quality fixed income execution. JULY 5, 2010 – Northern Capital celebrates employee’s 20 year milestone. A celebration was held to mark Managing Director, Scott Ward’s 20th year with the firm. “Scott has contributed significantly to the growth and character of the firm over the past 20 years. His tenure stands as testament to his high standards of ethics, his dedication to his clients and loyalty to Northern Capital. His presence here is greatly appreciated” said David Oldaker, CEO. SEPTEMBER 1, 2009 – Northern Capital recently launched its new website. The new site has entirely new content and showcases the firm’s new sales and trading floor. New features will be announced in the coming weeks as the firm continues its focus on supporting its institutional fixed income clients. AUGUST 21, 2009 – Northern Capital hosts its annual compliance meeting in accordance with Rule 3010. The meeting is the second in a three part series that will be held in 2009. July 9, 2009 – Justin Hennessey joins Northern Capital as Managing Director of Fixed Incomes Sales and Trading. Justin’s experience includes over 25 years of municipal fixed income investment management, trading and institutional sales. He served as Managing Director at Ambac Financial Group managing the $3.2 billion corporate investment portfolio and responsible for all investment decisions including trading, credit research, hedging and asset/liability matching. Previous to Ambac, Justin was a Senior Vice-President managing the municipal bond mutual funds at Cigna Investment Management Company and also an Investment Officer with The Old Colony Trust Department in Boston. Justin will provide a depth of experience and direction to the firm’s institutional municipal fixed income sales and trading desk. April 3, 2009 – Northern Capital announces the relocation of its corporate office to the Tenth Floor of 300 Brickstone Square, Andover, Massachusetts. This move doubles the size of the firm’s sales and trading floor. CEO David Oldaker said “We have recruited a top-quality staff to complement our existing operation. The office is fully staffed and ready to accommodate the expansion of the company's institutional fixed income sales and trading operations.” March 11, 2009 – Stephen Rye joins Northern Capital as Managing Director. His experience includes over twenty years in fixed income sales, trading, and investment management. He has been a trader for Fidelity Investments and Dean Witter. He has also served as a Senior Portfolio Director at Freddie Mac, an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in their Derivatives Products Group, and a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank in their Institutional Client Group. He has advised on security selection and analysis, market developments, and complex products and strategies for a variety of institutions including advisors, mutual funds, banks and Federal Agencies. Steve brings valuable knowledge and experience to the firm’s institutional fixed income sales and trading desk. |
