As Senior Managing Director and Head of Trading, Mike supervises the day to day institutional sales and trading activity for the firm.
Mike began his career in 1984 at Scott Starr Investments, an institutionally focused Boston based investment advisory firm. Over the ten years that followed, Mike developed valuable fixed income trading expertise at several regional firms such as The Massachusetts Company, Moors & Cabot and Tucker Anthony. In 1995, Mike returned to Scott, Starr Securities where his financial services career began, to head the sales and trading group. This group would later become Northern Capital Securities Corporation.
Having managed the firm’s fixed income trading operation for more than 15 years, Mike has established broad trading experience in a full complement of fixed-income products. He has an indepth understanding of the needs of the firm’s diverse institutional client base. Mike’s broad knowledge of the firm, its many clients, trading and counterparty relationships, expert resources and distinctive competencies provides a highly valuable perspective for the firm’s trading staff and for our institutional clientele.
A 1983 graduate of UCONN and former hockey player, Mike and his wife Trisha live in Reading, Massachusetts with their 4 children. |
